John Christie

John Christie is President and Managing Broker of HG Christie Ltd., the exclusive affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate Bahamas and one of the oldest and most respected real estate firms in The Bahamas. Representing the latest generation of leadership within the Christie family legacy, John continues the vision established by the company's founder, Sir Harold George Christie, K.T., C.B.E.

Educated at St. Andrew's School in Nassau and Millfield School in Somerset, England, John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Social Science from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. After several years living in Massachusetts, where he operated a successful moving business and pursued music professionally as the lead singer of the band Floating Boats, he returned to The Bahamas in 1993 to join HG Christie Ltd.

Upon joining the company, John immediately focused on modernizing its operations and technology infrastructure. An early believer in the transformative power of the Internet, he spearheaded the development of the company's website, and in 1995 HG Christie became the first real estate firm in The Bahamas to establish an online presence. The site quickly became an industry benchmark, offering interactive property searches and showcasing the firm's extensive portfolio to a global audience. Today, HG Christie's digital platform remains a cornerstone of the company's international reach and marketing strategy.

Under John's leadership, HG Christie has continued to expand throughout the islands of The Bahamas while maintaining its longstanding reputation for expertise, integrity, and exceptional service. He is a fully licensed real estate broker, former Director of the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA), and an accomplished photographer whose imagery has contributed to the company's marketing and branding for many years.

John lives in Nassau with his wife, Paola, and has two sons, Dylan and Kai. Dylan Christie has also joined the company, continuing the next generation of the Christie family legacy at HG Christie Ltd.
