Jane-Michele Bethel

Jane-Michele Bethel is a seasoned broker who successfully launched her real estate career in The Bahamas in 2003. She has extensive experience in several areas of Real Estate including: luxury property sales and rentals; commercial and residential real estate development; construction project management; and property management.

Jane-Michele is a licensed BREA broker who holds the prestigious designation of Certified International Property Specialist. Jane-Michele's early real estate training and experience was obtained at King's Realty and later, Coldwell Banker, Lightbourn Realty, Nassau, Bahamas. In 2010, she accepted a position as Sales and Marketing Manager at The New Providence Development Company Ltd. and was quickly promoted to Vice President of Real Estate. Over a six year period, she successfully brokered the sale of the remaining developer lots in the prestigious Old Fort Bay community, and played a substantial role in the development and management of the Old Fort Bay Town Centre, a 21 acre mixed-use, $30 million, retail and commercial development.

Born and raised in The Bahamas and of Bahamian/British parentage, Jane-Michele has a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of what it takes to conduct business in an island nation. Her early education in Canada, and post graduate education in the UK have made her adept at working with international clients. She attended secondary school at Havergal College in Toronto, Ontario and obtained her undergraduate degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario. She studied Orthoptics at Moorfield's Eye Hospital in London, England and subsequently worked in hospitals (in both clinical and managerial positions) in London, and then Brighton, for a total of fifteen years. She also holds a Master's degree in Health Services Management from Manchester University School of Business.

However, the pull of life in the tropics was strong and she inevitably returned to Nassau in 2000. She held the position of Hospital Administrator at The Lyford Cay Hospital for 3 years on her immediate return, and was then appointed as Manager of The Princess Street Art Gallery in Lyford Cay for several months. In 2003, she turned her attention to enthusiastically utilizing her extensive network of contacts to pursue a vibrant, full-time career in Real Estate in The Bahamas!
